Breast Lift

A surgical procedure that corrects breast ptosis or breast sagging. This can be combined with laser and/or radio-frequency treatments to improve overall breast projection, firmness and elasticity.

The Effect of a Breast Lift

Breast lift, or mastopexy, is a surgical procedure to raise and reshape sagging breasts. Mastopexy can also reduce the size of the areola. If your breasts are small or have lost volume, breast implants inserted in conjunction with mastopexy can increase both their firmness and their size.

The Breast Lift Procedure

A breast lift is a cosmetic procedure to raise and reshape sagging breasts by removing excess skin and repositioning the nipples. This can be combined with laser and/ or radio-frequency treatments to improve overall breast projection, firmness and elasticity.

Best Candidates for a Breast Lift

The best candidates for breast lift surgery are:

• Women with drooping or sagging breasts common with aging or childbirth
• The procedure yields best results for women with smaller breasts as larger breasts are heavier and the results are shorter lived
• Women with large areolas

Risks

All surgery carries risk, and you should be fully aware of the medical risks associated with this procedure before you consent to surgery. Your surgeon will discuss these risks with you during your consultation, and you are encouraged to ask questions if there is anything you do not understand.

• Unevenly positioned nipples
• Permanent loss of feeling in nipples or breast

• Temporary bruising, swelling, discomfort, numbness
• Dry skin
• Permanent scars
