Dayanara Torres, International Star

Former Miss Universe, Dayanara Torres came to Manila, not only for a visit, but also to shoot a television commercial for Beverly Hills 6750 Cosmetic Surgery and Skin Institute.

Dayanara left Manila eight years ago, leaving behind a flourishing career on television (she was a contract star of ABS-CBN) and a romantic liaison with then one of the most eligible bachelors in show business, Aga Muhlach, who is now married to former Bb. Pilipinas-Universe Charlene Gonzales.

My present state of mind is disbelief in the transformation that has taken place in my body and my mind.

Many of you may have seen my transformation on TV when I joined and won the “Ms. Ugly No More” contest sponsored by Beverly Hills 6750. I was literally an ugly duckling. I never expected my prayers to be answered through a contest that I happened to see on television. After competing with 300 other contestants, I was one of three chosen to be “made over” by Beverly Hills 6750’s expert doctors and dentists.

The range of cosmetic surgery procedures I had, include: rhinoplasty, chin augmentation and liposuction for double chin, buccal (cheek) fat removal; breast augmentation, tummy tuck and liposuction of the inner and outer thighs. I must also mention that for my breast augmentation they used the latest state-of-the-art McGhan Style 410 --- a contoured silicone gel implant. My skin treatments included: Fraxel laser skin re-surfacing, Accent RF body contouring, Power Peel, Underarm whitening and Botox injection for masseter hypertrophy. My dental treatments were: Zoom 2 teeth whitening, all porcelain jacket crowns, gingivoplasty and root canal treatment. I was also put on their Meta-Morph Medical Weight Management Program.

Hi, my name is Ellen. After having 3 kids, it was difficult to lose that “belly pooch” despite the fact that I was a fitness buff. No amount of exercise could get rid of it! I’m an airline steward working on an international carrier and Manila happens to be one of our regional hubs. I first heard about Beverly Hills 6750 from a fellow steward of mine who had gone to your clinic for skin treatments and he had nothing but praises for the service he received. In our line of work, it always is good to look your best, but I had problems with my skin texture and an uneven pigmentation that had been bothering me the past 2 years. After trying commercial creams and gels, I wanted to get a professional opinion.

After a consultation with Dr. Angel Cumagun of Beverly Hills 6750, she suggested that I try the Fraxel laser skin-resurfacing treatment. She explained to me that treatments are “fractional” --- meaning that there are portions of healthy skin which surround those areas treated by the Fraxel laser and actually serve as facilitators for better healing. A laser is used --- concentrated beams of amplified light.

About a week after the first treatment, I noticed a significant difference! My skin texture was better and skin clarity was also improved. I look forward to my remaining 5 other sessions for continued improvement.

I first heard about Beverly Hills 6750 from my mother, who had gotten her teeth whitened at your clinic the day before. Even I had to admit, she had something to smile about. Still, being the California girl that I am and having actually been to Beverly Hills 90210, I remained somewhat skeptical. My curiosity however was piqued, so I agreed to a Zoom 2 teeth whitening.

My expectations were not high …but even if they had been, the clinic went above and beyond! Once inside the doors, I felt like I was back in LA. My first reaction, to be completely honest, was an overwhelming sense of relief to find that the facilities at BH6750 were clean—and clean to the standards that I would expect from any medical office here in California. The stylish, modern décor was definitely evocative of those Wilshire Boulevard offices, like nothing I had ever seen in Manila. The effect was not intimidating or flamboyantly impressive, but rather I found it calming and reassuring, as if saying, “You’re in good hands here!”

Everything, from the clinic’s ambiance to its staff to the equipment, exuded class and professionalism. Your establishment not only lives up to the Beverly Hills moniker, but even gives a few places in LA something to strive for. When the moment of truth came and the bill was handed to me, it could have been the number on the bottom line—one-half the amount you would find on the same receipt from an office on Wilshire in Beverly Hills—but I think it was more my complete satisfaction with the quality of service that made me hand over my credit card with a smile.
